Waste Reduction Partners is a special partnership program of the Land-of-Sky Regional Council, Triangle J Council of Governments and the North Carolina Division of Pollution Prevention and Environmental Assistance. Other funding partners include the State Energy Office of NC Department of Administration, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency; the USDA Rural Utility Services; the City of Asheville, Mecklenburg County, Solid Waste Management, Progress Energy Carolinas, NC Farm Bureau, The Duke Endowment, Cherokee Preservation Foundation, the NC Rural Center, Adele M. Thomas Charitable Foundation and other private business and industry contributions.
