Local Government

The Waste Reduction Partners team of engineers and scientists work through Councils of Governments to directly assist North Carolina's counties and municipalities.  WRP works with local governments helping to improve their internal operations to be more efficient and environmentally sustainable.

The WRP team conducts onsite facility assessments to identify operational cost savings in energy, fuels, water, sewer, and / or waste management costs.  WRP can help advance community sustainability directives by helping towns and counties lead by example.

Initial services are provided at no cost to local governments, supported through state-sponsored grants. Depending on local government needs and technical resources, more detailed project consulting may be conducted through technical service contracts.
